To help Oakland voters, we will be making three requests of your campaign (see below). Your participation in these activities will help thousands of Oakland voters learn more about you. We do not charge you money for your participation — we carry out these activities to fulfill our nonprofit mission of supporting democracy.

Info for Easy Voter Guide

REQUEST: Please click HERE and complete our short Candidate Survey

DEADLINE: Friday, August 26

The Easy Voter Guide is a basic introduction to local candidates and ballot measures. It is available in English, Chinese, and Spanish. We distribute paper copies of the Easy Voter Guide across the city and post a digital version on the LWVO website.

Participate in Candidate Forum

REQUEST: Watch for an email with potential forum dates and other details. Candidate forums will take place during September and early October.

DEADLINE: Signed commitment by September 1

Candidate Forums are live audience events in which all candidates for a given race answer questions from League moderators. For the November 2022 election, all Candidate Forums will be held virtually.

REQUEST: Watch for an email with a personalized link to the online portal, where you can complete your profile.

DEADLINE: Friday, September 30 (email with link will go out by 9/5)

Voter’s Edge California is a comprehensive online guide to federal, state, and local elections. Voters can use it to view candidate biographies, priorities, photos, videos, endorsements, and funders. Voters can also use it to learn about ballot measures. Voter’s Edge California is accessible at www.votersedge.org.
