About this event

The League of Women Voters believes the freedom to protest and assemble is a critical function of our constitutional democracy and is a national partner of the Saturday, March 28th No Kings Mobilization.

The LWV Oakland is leaning in, locally, and is calling on members and friends to join us in nonpartisan proclamation of People power; No Thrones; No Crowns; & No Kings! We will gather at noon on the corner of Clay and 14th Streets, so we can join the Mobilization as a group. · March Time: 1:00PM until about 1:45PM · March Route: City Hall Plaza tothe Lake Merritt Amphitheater (between 12th Street and 1st Ave) · Event Ends: About 2:00PM
Safety and Comfort are Key: o Wear comfortable and appropriate clothes and shoes. o WEAR YELLOW - the official color of NO KINGS! o LWV swag (t-shirts, buttons, etc.) is encouraged. o Bring signs –a few will be available but homemade signs are the most effective. o No banners—as they pose a safety risk. o Bring water and snacks; earplugs could come in handy. o Avoid large, bulky backpacks.
